FoodQ dishes up opportunities at OctoberfeastIn between mouthfuls of delicious food and wine, serious business was done on 14 October when more than 40 leading food retailers/distributors/media and associated business people attended FoodQ’s inaugural Octoberfeast featuring 15 South East Queensland food manufacturers.
FoodQ provides an increasing number of Queensland’s food and beverage manufacturers with support, education, networking and other opportunities to sustainably grow and develop their businesses. They are looking for more members from throughout southeast Queensland who are interested in growing their businesses. On the night, exhibiting FoodQ members had the opportunity to develop relationships with food media representatives, meet new distributors and learn more about each other’s wares, with several receiving publicity about their products in The Courier-Mail, just days later. FoodQ also launched its range of unique signature gift hampers on the night. Featuring members’ products, FoodQ hampers are ideal for corporate and individual Christmas gifts, leisure tourism operators and keen foodies, and come in gluten-free, chocolate and Christmas varieties. FoodQ’s premium Christmas hamper RRP $83 contains blueberry punch, dewdrops cordial, gluten free pepper and chives crackers, almond nut bread, Florentines, mango green tea with lemon myrtle, apricot and almond and macadamia and ginger healthy breakfast bars, caramel popcorn, cranberry and pistachio fruit and nut loaf, chocolate-coated coffee beans, gourmet seasoning, preserved lemons, dried egg fettucini, and tomato, olive, caper and chilli sauce.
